USC 2020 update
An update on the Ultimate STEM Challenge 2020
Back in March we had to postpone this year’s Ultimate STEM Challenge Hackathon due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been watching the situation closely over the past few months and in light of latest guidance and continuing uncertainty we have had to take the difficult decision to cancel the event completely. We have been in contact with all the finalists and their schools and we want to thank them for their understanding of this decision.
We still want to celebrate the finalists’ achievements and so please see their amazing designs below:
Woodside Junior School
Harry Sawyer, Jessica Sawyer, George Eden and William Howard
Kintore Primary
Alex Carnochan, Euan Morrison, Magnus Hoyle and Ryan Lawn
Castleford Academy
Harry Rose, Lewis Madin, Gabriel Rigby and Daniel Boyd
Bredon Hill Academy
Millie Shaw, Lily Taylor, Alice Collett and Oli Monk
St Michael’s Primary School
Gabrielle Austin, Mark Rakossy, Dylan Dalby and Olivia Smith
Sutton High School
Mimi Cambridge, Sophia Akhtar, Hanra Ghor and Kiyara Wijeratne
How inspiring were they? The USC will be back in October with a new competition so keep an eye out for that announcement in a couple of months.
