Ultimate STEM Challenge 2016/17 Final

Congratulations to our Ultimate STEM Challenge 2016/17 winners, Amelie, Cathryn and Hattie, from Bredon Hill Academy in Evesham, Worcestershire

Twelve teams of talented finalists came to the Science Museum, London, on Monday 13 March 2017 to present their work to a panel of judges and a take part in a science fair. 

Bredon Hill developed a creative solution to find the best wing design for a remote controlled survey aircraft. The team took inspiration from flying animals, inlcuding the draco lizard, to investigate whether broader and longer wings would be most effective for gliding.

The team won an Ultimate STEM experience day, £500 to spend on science equipment or field trips, as well as Science Museum goody bags.
