Thinking Creatively: Future Flight

These challenges were developed as part of the Ultimate STEM Challenge 2016/2017.

The competition is now closed but why not complete one of the challenges as part of your school's STEM club, in class, or even to run your own school competition?

BP uses aerial surveys as one element of hot it identifies potential new oil reserves, or to inspect remote equipment. Remote controlled aircraft, or drones, can offer a lower cost, safer alternative to light aircraft.

Challenge 2:

Do an investigation to find the best wing design for a remote controlled survey aircraft.
